A little bit about our Hotel

Ferry fares from Port McNeill to Sointula are not expensive and include a return trip and free stopovers in Alert Bay. Seniors travel free from Monday to Thursday so I can't think of a single good reason not to come here. When you do, our hotel is just seconds away from the ferry terminal. Whether you visit Sointula for work or play, our 15 spacious hotel rooms offer something for everyone and feature cable TV's, WIFI and free laundry. Some are wheelchair friendly and most feature full kitchens or kitchenettes and gas fireplaces. For those that don't, we have a well supplied communal kitchen and living room for your use and enjoyment. Spacious and brimming with light, almost all of our rooms have ocean view decks and patios with lots of windows to let in the refreshing sea air. Happily, there are no mosquitos on our side of Malcolm Island and many of our guests leave their windows open for the duration of their stay. Just renovated and new for 2023 is our ocean level Beach Suite which is really more of a self contained apartment featuring a separate entrance, full kitchen and laundry room. It is the best room in the house and is perfect for long term stays. Malcolm Island is as pet friendly as it gets and so is our hotel so feel free to bring your dog. Having said that, we do have a no-pet room so please inquire about availability. The Oceanfront Hotel is the only hotel on Malcolm Island and the perfect place to relax and recharge. We can comfortably accommodate larger groups and long term guests and have hosted some beautiful weddings, family reunions and retreats, Making your Malcolm Island experience a memorable one is important to us and Ray and I are available to help you plan your trip.
