• Check-in time is at 3:00pm and check-out time is 11:00am.
   

• We have affordable long term room rentals for those wanting a retreat to paint, write, relax, do photography, or make art. Please contact us for more information regarding a long term stay.
   

• Our Co-Op is open 9:30-5:30 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and 12-5pm Friday and Saturday. It is closed Sunday and Monday, so please plan your meals ahead! With Covid their hours are constantly changing, so please check online for current hours.
   

• Coho Joe's is open 5 days a week from 9am-2:30pm to serve breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea and other beverages.

• We have an ATM at our location.
   

• The island is home to many talented local artists.  We can tell you where to find them.

• We have a communal kitchen and living room for guest use.
   

• It's free to travel from Malcolm Island to Cormorant Island, so you can easily day trip to Alert Bay.
   

• We are located only 250 meters from the ferry terminal and you only pay one way!
   

• We are home to a whale rubbing beach ( ten minutes from the hotel ) that sees Orcas only a few feet from the shore for a pebble massage. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and it is the only known population in the world to exhibit this behaviour! Your best chance of spotting this is between August-September. Bring some food, bring some blankets, bring your binoculars, and be prepared to put the time in!
   

• We have a very active sea life/wildlife that includes eagles, dolphins, minke whales, humpback whales, orcas, minks, seals, sea lions, and deer. Our island is lucky enough to not have to worry about cougars or bears habituating ( though they do sometimes swim here for a quick visit ).
